Working closely with Planning, Inventory, Logistics, and wider operational teams, you will ensure production is effectively planned to meet customer demand and delivery requirements. Your responsibilities include managing production schedules, capacity planning, and work centre utilisation, while ensuring accurate and timely information is maintained across SAP and production management systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing daily production schedules and activities across assembly lines and allocated manufacturing processes.
  • Ensuring production plans support on-time customer delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate production and planning data within SAP and associated systems.
  • Supporting SAP management and operation, ensuring accurate data and efficient workflows.
  • Managing work centre capacity to optimise production efficiency and resource utilisation.
  • Communicating scheduling and production information clearly across relevant teams.
  • Supporting new product introduction and release-to-production activities.
  • Identifying, resolving, and escalating production and scheduling issues where required.
  • Supporting projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with operational teams to resolve priority conflicts and maintain production performance.

Key Requirements

Located in or around Derby or Nottingham, you should have previous experience within production planning, manufacturing control, production scheduling, inventory management, or a similar manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of production processes and confidence working with data, systems, and multiple priorities are essential.

  • Good working knowledge of SAP MM, with experience of SAP PP and WM being highly desirable.
  • Previous involvement in new product introduction and release-to-production processes would also be beneficial.
  • Highly organised and analytical, with excellent numerical skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • A proactive, process-driven approach, alongside the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage competing priorities, and influence stakeholders.
  • A positive "can-do" attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider team.

What's on Offer?

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £30,000 - £37,000, alongside 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include a generous pension scheme, death-in-service benefit, family-friendly policies, free eye test vouchers, Health MOTs, NHS Health Checks, and flu vaccinations, as well as a range of employee wellbeing initiatives.
