Opportunity for Strategic Engagement in Climate Research
Join a vibrant team at the Transdisciplinarity-Lab (TdLab) within the Department of Environmental Systems Science at ETH Zürich. This role focuses on enhancing stakeholder engagement for the National Competence Centre in Research NCCR CLIM+, contributing to Switzerland's journey towards a climate-resilient society.
Project Overview
The NCCR CLIM+ initiative is pioneering a new generation of experts equipped with both disciplinary and transdisciplinary insights in climate science. This position presents the chance to collaborate with esteemed professionals while addressing critical sustainability challenges.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this role, you will be instrumental in the development and integration of scientifically grounded storylines that depict plausible climate futures. Your objectives will include:
- Identifying key stakeholders and constructing a network connecting them with storyline researchers.
- Developing, executing, and assessing a Theory of Change in collaboration with your network.
- Designing and managing a transdisciplinary engagement process, fostering knowledge co-production.
You will also have the opportunity to explore and innovate transdisciplinary methods, sharing your findings through presentations and publications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will:
- Possess a doctorate in environmental or sustainability sciences.
- Demonstrate experience in the design, execution, and evaluation of transdisciplinary research initiatives.
- Exhibit exceptional interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various disciplines and sectors.
- Navigate complex communication dynamics and conflicts, fostering collaborative solutions.
- Show a keen interest in critically examining and advancing transdisciplinary theories and methodologies.
- Be fluent in both English and German.
