Post Doc RNA Delivery

Position Overview

Join a visionary team dedicated to transforming patient care through the development of innovative pharmaceutical technologies. Based in Basel, Switzerland, the role focuses on the design, process development, and characterization of advanced Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulations. Collaborate with leading experts across Technical Development and Biomedical Research groups in Switzerland and the USA to make a global impact in the realm of RNA delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceive, design, execute, and report on an independent research program for a novel LNP platform aimed at RNA delivery.
• Formulate and characterize innovative lipid nanoparticle designs.
• Analyze data and correlate nanoparticle characteristics to biological endpoints, enabling data-driven optimization of lipid nanoparticles.
• Engage in process development activities and assess process performance.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and interfaces within the organization and externally.

Essential Qualifications

• PhD in life sciences (e.g., chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, pharmaceutical sciences, bio- or chemical engineering) completed within the last three years.
• Proficient in English.
• Deep theoretical knowledge and practical experience in lipid nanoparticle formulation, process development, and characterization, particularly in RNA delivery.
• Strong organizational and scientific skills, curiosity in planning and executing lab work.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams within an international environment.
• Proven publication track record with strong scientific communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with advanced pharmaceutical technologies and characterization of physicochemical properties.
• Practical experience in cell culture, flow cytometry, and biochemical assay development.
