Your Role

As part of the Data & Development team within our technology business unit, you will play a crucial role in advancing the developer tools at Swissgrid and enhancing our corporate data platform. Starting in October 2025, you will be an integral part of a dedicated team comprising data, ML, security, and platform engineers, as well as product owners.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, your contributions will focus on several key areas:

• **GitHub Operations:** Manage our hybrid setup, handle user and access management, and assist developers in utilizing the platform effectively.
• **Data Platform Operations:** Design, deploy, review, and monitor cloud infrastructure for our data platform.
• **Development Tools:** Work with container-based development environments and CI/CD pipelines.

Skills and Attributes

We are seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented individual with a proactive mindset and a good sense of humor. The ideal candidate will possess some of the following skills and competencies, though this internship provides ample opportunity for learning:

• Familiarity with software engineering best practices (e.g., CI/CD using GitHub actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code with Terraform).
• Ability to analyze, monitor, and troubleshoot cloud-based distributed systems (preferably Microsoft Azure, Databricks & Ray).
• Experience with the GitHub ecosystem (Repositories, Actions, Packages).
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Go, C#).
• Knowledge of Linux systems and shell scripting.
• Strong command of the English language.
