Position Summary

The role involves collaborating closely with executive leadership to ensure the effective transition from product and system design to operational delivery. This position is pivotal in analyzing and enhancing the ability of the organization to scale while maintaining excellence, ensuring that the daily operations align seamlessly with the strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bridge Strategy and Execution: Transform strategic objectives into actionable operational tasks, facilitating synergy between design engineering and operations including production, manufacturing, and delivery.
  • Process Optimization: Detect performance obstacles, inefficiencies, and risks throughout the design-to-execution pipeline and spearhead initiatives for continuous enhancement.
  • Operational Readiness: Evaluate the operational viability and scalability of designs across products, systems, and processes before their implementation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with leaders in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to align objectives, address risks, and expedite execution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and ensure that feedback is integrated into design processes.
  • Advisory & Coaching: Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights, tactical execution guidance, and practical recommendations.
  • Program Oversight: Manage or participate in critical initiatives that necessitate intricate coordination between design and operational functions.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Program Delivery roles with a strong emphasis on execution accountability.
  • Demonstrated capability to navigate the interface between design and delivery, comprehending the implications of upstream design decisions on downstream operations.
  • Robust analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for influencing at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in dynamic, high-growth, or hardware-centric industries is preferable.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in the aerospace, automotive, or industrial sectors.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement strategies.
  • Adept in both strategic advisory and tactical implementation roles.
  • Recognized for bringing clarity, rigor, and proactive momentum to complex execution challenges.
