Key Responsibilities

• Deliver effective teaching and learning of Mathematics and lower secondary science throughout the secondary school.
• Participate in the design, development, implementation, and review of the Mathematics and Science programmes for lower secondary, IGCSE, and IBDP.
• Liaise with curriculum leaders to ensure effective curriculum delivery, including resource selection and management.
• Identify SEN students and collaborate to address their needs effectively.
• Lead projects and work independently while promoting health and safety within assigned classes.
• Engage in professional development and contribute to staff training and meetings.
• Facilitate a programme of trips, excursions, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
• Enhance the professional reputation of the teaching body.
• Foster positive relations between Mathematics and the wider community through cooperative initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Subject-related degree and PGCE or equivalent.
• Proven track record of excellence in teaching with at least three years of experience, ideally in an international environment.
• Experience with IGCSE and IBDP Mathematics preferred; however, MYPS and/or A level experience is acceptable.
• Competence in teaching lower secondary science and/or IGCSE/IBDP Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
• Excellent communication skills and strong teamwork capabilities.
• A passion for teaching that inspires students.
• The ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload.
• A knack for creating challenging and engaging learning opportunities for students of mixed cultures and abilities.
• Supportive of student needs in both learning and pastoral matters.
• Clear criminal records are required.
