Engineering Opportunity in Doncaster

Join a fast-paced manufacturing business in Doncaster as part of their dedicated engineering team. This hands-on role is designed for a mechanically strong professional who thrives in a busy production environment. You will be responsible for keeping machinery running efficiently, carrying out general maintenance, and actively contributing to improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Work on fast-moving manufacturing machinery within a busy production environment.
• Carry out general maintenance and mechanical fitting duties.
• Complete TIG welding and fabrication work where required.
• Support machinery modifications, repairs and improvements.
• Get involved in continuous improvement projects to improve reliability, efficiency and safety.
• Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and to a high standard.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and work completed.

Key Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong practical engineering background who is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter, Mechanical Fitter or similar.
• Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with fast-moving production machinery.
• TIG welding experience is essential or highly desirable.
• Good mechanical fitting and fabrication skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• A proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.
• The ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team.
• A genuine interest in improving machinery and processes rather than simply fixing problems as they occur.
