Axpo invites you to explore an exciting opportunity within our Continental Europe Merchant Trading Division. In this engaging role, you will take charge of managing assigned LPG books, aiming to maximize profitability while adhering to established risk policies and limits. This position allows you to dive into both physical and financial LPG trading, conduct in-depth market research, and cultivate business relationships across the globe.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned LPG books while supporting the team in maximizing profitability.
• Trade in compliance with internal and external standards, adhering to trading mandates and risk policies.
• Identify and capitalize on LPG trading opportunities through both physical and financial channels.
• Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers and customers.
• Monitor and analyze global LPG markets to inform and adjust trading strategies.
• Develop and nurture business relationships with suppliers and counterparties.
• Conduct market research and create quantitative models to support informed trading decisions.
• Ensure adherence to internal guidelines and risk management policies.

Your Qualifications and Profile

• At least 3 years of experience in physical LPG trading and origination.
• Extensive knowledge of LPG infrastructure, end-users, supply contracts, and optimization models.
• Proven history of building and maintaining relationships with major NGL players.
• Ability to implement tailored physical and hedging strategies.
• Strong analytical capabilities to develop and execute effective trading strategies.
• Entrepreneurial mindset complemented by excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in additional languages is a bonus.
• A university degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in office suites and advanced programming skills (e.g., VBA, Python, C#) are advantageous.
