Role Overview

The successful candidate will primarily focus on providing individualized support to a senior school student with a neurodiverse learning profile. The responsibilities include fostering access to the curriculum, enhancing organization and independence, and promoting social-emotional well-being. Experience working with neurodiverse learners, such as those with Dyslexia or executive functioning differences, is highly favored.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized classroom support to facilitate the student's engagement with the curriculum.
• Build a positive and respectful relationship that boosts the student’s self-confidence and self-advocacy.
• Assist in developing essential organizational and planning skills.
• Help the student navigate instructions, tasks, and maintain focus during lessons.
• Encourage emotional resilience and effective study habits tailored to individual learning needs.
• Work closely with teachers and the Learning Support team to implement necessary accommodations.
• Provide feedback and reports on the student’s progress and engagement.
• Maintain confidentiality while facilitating communication among stakeholders and helping create inclusive learning environments.
