Description
Engage with our capacity development initiatives under the guidance of NMA's Executive director. This volunteer position, lasting three months with the possibility of extension, provides an opportunity to contribute to humanitarian, development, and peacebuilding efforts while advancing our services for Non-Profits. Ideal for enthusiastic self-starters looking to gain valuable experience.
Responsibilities
- Development of Strategy:
- Participate in crafting NMA's international communication and marketing strategy.
- Contribute to defining communication and marketing objectives along with action plans.
- Implementation of Action Plan:
- Engage with partner organisations, inquirers, and participants of current and previous courses to assess needs and propose NMA's services.
- Create content for NMA's social media accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook to promote services and respond to inquiries.
- Join the Executive director and colleagues in calls and meetings with clients and new partners.
- Provide comprehensive reports on findings with recommendations to enhance services.
- Ensure efficient handling of related administrative matters.
- Take on other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- Excellent English skills, both written and spoken; proficiency in French is highly desirable.
- Experience in communications, marketing, and social media management.
- Previous experience in a non-profit organisation is preferred.
- Strong self-management and organizational skills, with solid verbal and interpersonal communication abilities.
- High autonomy and motivation, flexibility, and effective time management.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work well in a multicultural and collaborative team environment.
Details
This voluntary (unpaid) role offers approximately 20 hours/week, primarily remote, with occasional work at our Geneva office. Enjoy a flexible schedule that accommodates your other commitments, along with covered work-related expenses. Upon completion, a letter of reference and a work certificate will be provided.
