Your Mission
As part of our talented team, you will:
- Specifications and Design: Lead the Piping Engineering & Plant Layout Team, ensuring the delivery of project requirements globally. Clearly define, document, and communicate owner requirements to contractors, while validating design assumptions against operability and safety standards.
- Contractor Management: Review and approve contractor submissions, enforce adherence to requirements, and provide technical guidance to ensure projects meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations.
- Innovation and Cost Optimization: Develop engineering solutions that identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety, mindful of local execution conditions.
- Interface Management: Facilitate cross-discipline integration to achieve streamlined designs, proactively managing interfaces across engineering disciplines.
- Regulatory and Stakeholder Awareness: Align piping and plant layout scope with local permitting and energy facility requirements.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain comprehensive records of technical decisions and lessons learned for operational use.
- Cold-Weather and Constructability: Incorporate climate conditions into design for our next plant in Alberta, ensuring constructability and operability during winter months.
Your Story
We invite you to bring your expertise and experiences, including:
- Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional Experience: A minimum of 10 years in process plants, with a focus on cold weather climates, and expertise in piping and plant layout engineering.
- Project Experience: Hands-on involvement in at least one full-cycle project within the chemical, petrochemical, or renewables sector.
- Work Style: A precise, adaptable, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Communication: Confidence in presenting complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Language and Travel: Fluency in English and a willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

This role is based in Opfikon, Zurich, with an expectation of at least three days of onsite work per week.
