Roche Schweiz acts as a vital link between pharmacy and diagnostics, with significant research and development functions based in Rotkreuz. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Instrumental Analytics department, an essential segment within Reagent Research and Design.

Department Insights

Our team is dedicated to developing, validating, and implementing a variety of analytical methods utilizing technologies such as Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, digital PCR, and FTIR microscopy. This position offers the opportunity to engage in routine activities as well as innovative research projects, exploring new approaches in a collaborative environment.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has undergone training as a Laboratory Technician or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field, coupled with 2-3 years of laboratory experience. A curious mindset and the ability to think beyond traditional methodologies are essential. Strong communication skills in English are required, while experience in statistical data analysis and proficiency in the German language are advantageous.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completed education as a Lab Technician in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or Biotechnology
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of laboratory experience in an academic or industry setting (Pharma, MedTech)
  • Initial experience with Liquid Chromatography, preferably PCR
  • Basic experience in statistical data analysis and evaluation
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong interest in practical laboratory work
  • Ability to think multidirectionally
  • Collaborative team player
