Your Role and Responsibilities
As part of our team, you will focus on flavors, natural colors, and functional ingredients, serving manufacturers on a global scale within the European region. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Providing a single point of ownership while collaborating with business partners to set the direction for the Pet Food category.
- Executing strategies and plans across multiple streams including market innovation, regulatory compliance, marketing, operations, M&A, and communication.
Strategic Goals
- Proactively generate new business opportunities and define effective routes to market.
- Develop comprehensive Account Development Plans (ADPs) for key accounts.
- Analyze customer potential through brand strategy assessments and competition analysis.
- Manage project pipelines to achieve growth targets.
- Lead negotiations for pricing agreements in alignment with company guidelines.
- Deliver on targeted sales and gross profit outcomes within regional territories.
Influencing Stakeholders
- Ensure our organization is strategically positioned to engage with important briefs and core customer lists.
- Oversee large commercial projects, leveraging relevant technical resources.
- Maintain visibility and engagement with key accounts through effective communication and product demonstrations.
- Advocate for existing business interests within key markets and customers.
Partnership and Collaboration
- Drive innovative projects in collaboration with customers, utilizing technical expertise from multiple categories.
- Negotiate agreements considering global account strategies and ADPs.
- Coordinate customer submissions and support projects from conception to launch.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to facilitate project success.
Your Expertise
- A university degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Biology; business education is advantageous.
- A proven track record of 10+ years in the pet food industry across both technical and commercial roles.
- Experience with market analysis tools to understand trends and consumer behavior.
- Knowledge of pet food formulation and industry regulations.
- Financial acumen to analyze reports and develop business cases for new products.
- Familiarity with pet food labeling and safety regulations.
