Position Overview

This role is vital in supporting operations in Geneva, an epicenter of talent for energy supply and trading in Europe. We are looking to enhance our team with skilled professionals who can thrive in a collaborative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and modify nominations, manage allocations, and maintain accurate inventories.
- Ensure consistent communication regarding scheduling plans with accounting, traders, mid-office, and third-party personnel.
- Reconcile discrepancies with accounting and SRA, and proactively inform traders of potential scheduling conflicts while recommending mitigation strategies.
- Utilize Solarc to retrieve, enter movement tickets, manage trades, and schedule movements, including the creation of interbook physical and futures interbooks.
- Input trades into SRA, calculate positions, position changes, and provide explanations for changes.
- Maintain records for rail loadings, term deals, future date information, and origin starts reports; price EFPs with brokers; and manage a credit report monitoring future credit risks.
- Engage in leadership development training with Peerview & Harrison.
- Develop mid-office personnel and provide training for RTA team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in business preferred.
Experience:
- Knowledge of refined and renewable product markets across the US, European, and Asian landscapes.
- Ability to analyze market changes and effectively communicate insights to traders in the US, Geneva, and Canadian offices.
- Experience in generating trade ideas and strategies, including managing a speculative paper book with a significant Value at Risk (VaR).
- Proficient in utilizing Python and SQL for the efficient organization, structuring, and analysis of large datasets.
- Skilled in building comprehensive balances for the US and European markets to support analysis and decision-making.
- Familiarity with overseeing US import/export vessel activities and refinery turnarounds.
- Prior experience in a global risk or trading analyst role preferred.
