Position Overview

This critical role involves the scheduling of various products across multiple pipeline systems operated by Musket Europe, SARL. The position requires a seasoned background in risk and trading analytics, contributing to a dynamic team in Geneva, a hub for energy supply and trading expertise in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule products across diverse pipeline systems.
  • Manage nominations, allocations, and inventories effectively.
  • Maintain open communication regarding scheduling with accounting, traders, mid-office, and third-party personnel, and resolve discrepancies as necessary.
  • Alert traders to potential scheduling conflicts and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Utilize Solarc for retrieving and entering movement tickets, scheduling trades, and managing movements and interbooks.
  • Input trades into the SRA system, compute positions and changes, and oversee rail loadings and term deals.
  • Calculate and price EFPs with brokers, and maintain comprehensive credit reports to evaluate future risks.
  • Engage in leadership development training initiatives.
  • Support the development of mid-office personnel and train Risk Trading Analysts (RTAs).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Experience: A robust understanding of refined and renewable product markets across the US, Europe, and Asia.
  • Proven ability to analyze market changes and provide insights to traders in various regions.
  • Experience in generating trading strategies and managing a speculative paper book with a defined Value at Risk (VAR).
  • Proficient in using Python and SQL for effective data analysis and organization.
  • Experience tracking U.S. import/export vessel activity and refinery operations.
  • Prior experience in a global risk/trading analyst role is advantageous.

Required Skills

  • Hard Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Solarc RA, Citrix/Atlas systems.
  • Ability to arrange and manage training classes.
  • In-depth knowledge of various pipelines, grades, and deal types.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, work ethic, time management skills, and effective communication abilities.

Physical Demands

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, with some bending and stooping. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. Manual dexterity is essential for using a computer and calculator, along with a normal range of hearing and vision.
