Position Overview
This role is essential in facilitating communication and ensuring operational efficiency within the executive office. The selected candidate will support the Chief Executive Officer by providing vital interpretation and translation services during meetings and business engagements, enhancing the overall functioning of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide simultaneous interpretation for the CEO and senior executives during internal and external meetings, including extensive international travel.
- Translate, prepare, and edit a variety of documents, including correspondence, communications, and presentations.
- Assist in filing and retrieving important documents and reference materials.
- Record, transcribe, and distribute bilingual minutes during meetings.
- Support the monitoring, screening, responding to, and distributing of incoming communications.
- Engage with visitors and delegations, facilitating a welcoming environment.
- Coordinate project-based work, including preparation for presentations and reporting requirements for the CEO.
- Conduct research and analyze data to prepare reports and documents.
Required Skills
- Possession of relevant translation qualifications, with a preference for UN/EU certification as a Chinese-English translator.
- Proficiency in Chinese administrative document writing.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, adhering strictly to confidentiality protocols.
- Willingness to travel frequently, coupled with a flexible schedule.
- Capability to navigate ambiguity and build relationships across diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Ability to perform well under pressure.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and discreet in handling sensitive information.
Background & Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in interpretation, translation, and administrative support.
- Familiarity with standard office administrative practices and procedures in multinational corporations and Chinese state-owned enterprises.
- Preferred experience within the trading industry, with an understanding of the soft commodities business.
