Your Role
We are looking for a skilled professional to enhance our team in Baden, Switzerland. You will focus on the development and lifecycle support of gas turbine instrumentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure robust, reliable, and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve gas turbine instrumentation.
- Analyze engine requirements, project tenders, and customer contracts to consolidate instrumentation needs.
- Drive the instrumentation development process from specification and design through to implementation and testing.
- Oversee measurement chains and ensure correct alignment with system interfaces.
- Advise on instrumentation documentation and integration into product structures.
- Provide product support and act as a primary contact for instrumentation-related issues from various sectors.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and technical problem solving, analyzing instrumentation signals and operational data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a focus on aerospace, mechatronics, robotics, turbomachinery, process technology, or energy technology.
- Strong knowledge in sensor integration design and measurement-chain engineering for harsh environments.
- Preferably experienced in dynamic measurement chains for rotor vibration and acoustics.
- Practical experience in power plant, gas turbine, or aero-engine applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with 3D CAD tools; experience with Siemens NX® is advantageous.
- Ability to collaborate in distributed, multidisciplinary teams with complex interfaces.
- Experience in measurement signal and data analysis; knowledge of LabVIEW® and MATLAB® is beneficial.
- Skilled in root-cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Willingness to travel to power plants and suppliers, approximately once per month, occasionally for up to two weeks.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is advantageous, and knowledge of Italian is an added benefit.
