Our lead candidate targets Escherichia coli, a primary cause of urinary tract infections and a significant factor in antimicrobial resistance. Positioned in Schlieren and on ETH Zurich’s Hönggerberg campus, Baxiva provides a unique setting for engaging in high-impact science with tangible clinical applications.
Your Role
As a vital member of our in vivo team, you will engage directly in mouse experiments within our animal facility, testing various aspects of our vaccine. Additionally, you will focus on assay development and evaluate the immunological performance of vaccine components. This position is based in the Mucosal Immunology research group on Hönggerberg, collaborating closely with the vaccine development team in Schlieren.

Requirements
- Completed apprenticeship as a laboratory technician, or MSc in Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Previous experience with mouse work is essential, preferably with injection techniques and disease models.
- Strong foundation in standard microbiology techniques and wet lab work, ideally within a BSL-2 laboratory.
- Experience in immunological assay development and execution, with specific emphasis on ELISA and FACS.
- Excellent organizational skills and rigorous documentation practices.
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in English.
