Key Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Refine and execute a 5-year strategic plan for the Small Molecules segment in alignment with overarching organizational objectives, collaborating with key stakeholders and reporting progress to top management.
  • Manage the M&A pipeline, including criteria definition, scouting, screening, and synergy assessment, to achieve strategic growth targets.
  • Support strategic projects and initiatives that enhance the value chain, particularly in the digital arena.

Product & Portfolio Management

  • Track portfolio profitability and relevant KPIs across customers and services, driving optimization initiatives in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Develop and maintain business cases for portfolio management in partnership with Marketing, Science, and Finance.
  • Ensure client acquisition and maintenance align with the segmentation strategy in collaboration with Marketing.

Go to Market

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the Small Molecules segment, acting as the internal domain expert and sharing insights organization-wide.
  • Articulate target customers, value propositions, and differentiation strategies for the segment in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Refine pricing frameworks and oversee governance processes accordingly.
  • Evaluate potential partnerships for the assigned segment in collaboration with executive leadership.

Candidate Profile

  • Master's degree in a scientific or business-related discipline.
  • Significant experience in Strategy, Marketing, Business Development, or a similar field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or consulting industries.
  • Demonstrated success in driving strategic initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
  • Expertise in Strategic Planning, Project Management, Financial Modeling, Market Insights, and segmentation.
  • A hands-on, collaborative team player with strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities, including executive-level presentation skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages such as German or French is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI).
