Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Refine, execute, and track the 5-year strategic plan for the Small Molecules segment in alignment with organizational objectives, collaborating with key stakeholders and regularly reporting progress to executive management.
- Manage the M&A pipeline, including criteria definition, scouting, screening, and synergy assessment, focusing on targets that address capability gaps or enhance revenue and EBITDA objectives.
- Support strategic projects and initiatives that strengthen the value chain, particularly in the Digital area.
Product & Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio profitability and key performance indicators (KPIs) per customer, service, and location, leading optimization initiatives in collaboration with the Finance team.
- Drive the development, maintenance, and rationalization of portfolio business cases within the Small Molecules segment, in cooperation with Marketing, Science, and Finance.
- Ensure alignment in client acquisition and maintenance with the segmentation strategy, working closely with Marketing.
Go to Market
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the Small Molecules segment, and serve as the internal domain expert.
- Define target customers, value propositions, and differentiating factors for the Small Molecules segment in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Refine the pricing framework and oversee its governance.
- Evaluate potential partnerships for the assigned segment, in collaboration with the Executive Committee.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
- Significant experience in Strategy, Marketing, Business Development, or a similar field, preferably within the pharmaceutical or consulting industry.
- Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Expertise in Strategic Planning, Project Management, Financial Modeling, and Market & Competitive Insights.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a capacity to lead through influence and motivation.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages, particularly German and French, is advantageous.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; PowerBI).
