Financial Controller

Join a leading global consumer goods organisation to take ownership of financial accounting, compliance, and reporting for multiple entities within its growing Shared Finance function. This role offers the opportunity to lead process improvements, support a team of finance professionals, and drive finance transformation initiatives in a complex international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare statutory accounts and regulatory filings
• Ensure VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales List compliance
• Review balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain strong financial controls and SOX compliance
• Manage auditor relationships
• Support group reporting activities
• Drive process improvement and finance transformation initiatives
• Supervise and develop Assistant Controllers

Professional Profile

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
• Fluent in French and English
• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
• SAP experience
• Multi-entity, multi-currency experience
• Experience managing teams and/or outsourced providers
• Strong understanding of controls, compliance, and governance
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Important Note

This is a technical Financial Controller role focused on accounting, reporting, controls, and compliance. Candidates whose experience is primarily within FP&A, commercial finance, or finance business partnering are unlikely to be a strong match.
