The company is renowned for its industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems, tailored for various mission profiles including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Role and Responsibilities
As part of our innovative team, you will be instrumental in the design, integration, and testing of flight control software for our unmanned helicopter systems. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of our systems with industry standards.
Main Tasks:
- Flight Control Software: Design, implement, and test model-based software to enable new flight functionalities.
- Simulation: Test newly implemented features within a comprehensive simulation framework.
- Documentation: Contribute to the creation of documentation and training materials that detail flight control logic.
- Autonomy: Design safe and reliable autonomous flight sequences that meet customer needs and adhere to the latest safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work alongside engineering teams such as design engineers, flight operations, and avionics engineers to enhance product features and fulfill customer visions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in safety regulations, and sensor technology, integrating best practices into workflows.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Significant experience with model-based programming, preferably in the aviation or space industry; familiarity with associated standards and best practices; experience with programming in C or similar is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of model-based programming (Simulink or similar); good understanding of flight dynamics; capability to design comprehensive test programs from unit to system level.
- Communication: Excellent technical communication skills.
