Localfish is an enthusiastic Swiss start-up that is transforming the fish market in Switzerland with our innovative approach to sustainable, local fish farming. We produce healthy, fresh, and flavorful perch, zander, and catfish across three organic, land-based aquaculture facilities located in Bischofszell, Rafz, and Lyss. Responsibilities

• Care and maintenance of the fish farm, including monitoring water parameters, cleaning, sorting, and feeding.
• Take joint responsibility for the entire production area in collaboration with the farm manager.
• Support process engineering for circulation systems, focusing on water quality and feed management.
• Ensure the overall functionality of the fish farm through operation, adjustment, and monitoring.
• Respond promptly to alerts from the fish farm's alarm system.
• Record performance characteristics and condition of the fish as well as the RAS system, maintaining thorough documentation and logs.
• Conduct preparatory work, including fish handling.
• Enforce safety, quality, and hygiene regulations.
• Manage employees effectively.
• Ensure timely completion of orders and manage stock appropriately.
• Oversee and monitor the production process.
• Handle goods logistics between the production facility and processing locations.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training or experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of animal welfare, fish farming practices, water protection, and feed analysis.
• Possession of a Category B and B/E driving license, with experience in transporting fish.
• A passion for handling fish and promoting sustainable use of natural resources.
• Efficient and organized approach combined with a precise, persistent, and resilient work ethic, even under pressure.
• A motivated, determined, and communicative attitude with a strong focus on hygiene and quality.
• Proficiency in German; basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
• Strong skills in MS Office applications.
