Your Contributions

As part of our team, you will:

• Deliver comprehensive analyses of macroeconomic indicators, such as GDP, sectoral industrial production, consumer price index, and central bank policies, emphasizing their implications for energy markets, including petroleum, gas/LNG, coal, metals, and European electricity.
• Conduct verbal and written briefings for trading desks through regular meetings, reports, and presentations, facilitating discussions on significant macroeconomic developments.
• Assist traders and analysts in translating macroeconomic perspectives into demand forecasts and trading opportunities.
• Engage collaboratively with colleagues and support stakeholders, including mid-term energy markets modeling, Risk, and Treasury teams, providing valuable, actionable input.

Your Profile

We are looking for a team-oriented, curious, and communicative professional who excels in a trading environment. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis within a collaborative setting.
• A trading-focused mindset, with robust knowledge of energy fundamentals (oil, gas, and electricity) and their interrelations with macroeconomic trends.
• Proficiency in time series and data analysis techniques, utilizing Python or equivalent programming languages.
• A Master’s degree or higher in economics, econometrics, or finance.
• Fluency in English.
