Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site safety in collaboration with the Safety Advisor, including the establishment, management, and closure of the safety file as part of the management team.
  • Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and electrical assignments.
  • Liaise with Site QA and the Electrical Package Manager to ensure “Right First Time” installations.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, codes, and compliance.
  • Assist in managing all costs associated with your package, including contractors, material deliveries, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
  • Oversee project schedules in conjunction with other trades, Package Leads, consulting engineers, and client requirements, ensuring all on-site activities align with the timeline.
  • Manage day-to-day operations on-site to meet project deadlines and requirements.
  • Monitor sub-contractor activities and ensure regular meetings to track progress against the schedule.
  • Manage the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system and return weekly punch lists where applicable.
  • Attend various site meetings, internal reviews, planning, and handover discussions.
  • Support the closeout of all project items, including operational manuals and safety files.
  • Maintain and update redline drawings for operational manuals and ensure coordination across trades in weekly looks ahead.
  • Provide technical guidance during installations and prepare progress reports for management.
  • Manage productivity and ensure compliance with timelines and work goals.
  • Engage in administrative duties and support continuous improvement in construction practices.

Essential Criteria

  • A trade background with 5 to 10 years of experience supervising large installation crews and subcontractors.
  • A proven track record in managing significant installation projects successfully.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
  • Experience in design and build methodologies.
  • Strong technical understanding of both Electrical and Mechanical systems.
  • Proficient IT skills.

  • A proven ability to drive large-scale projects to completion.
