Lead EI&I Construction for Global Pharmaceutical Market Leader
Join a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients across the chemical and biotechnology sectors. This full-time, on-site role is based in the Valais area of Switzerland and is available as a 12-month contract with the possibility for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate on-site EI&I construction activities for CAPEX projects.
- Manage electrical, instrumentation, automation contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, quality, and project requirements.
- Monitor construction progress, costs, schedules, and installation quality.
- Verify execution against engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Coordinate construction interfaces between engineering, commissioning, and operations teams.
- Support inspections, punch-list resolution, and turnover documentation.
- Support commissioning preparation, loop checks, functional testing, SAT, and system handover activities.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction issues to maintain project timelines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required.
- Technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related discipline.
- Experience leading EI&I construction activities in pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, or industrial CAPEX projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation installation practices.
- Experience working in GMP-regulated environments is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and construction documentation.
- Strong contractor and stakeholder management.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Focus on safety, quality, and project execution.
- Fluent German required; English is an advantage.
