Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain EHS management systems for all projects.
- Ensure adherence to project and Mercury Engineering Safety Management systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Coordinate the development of task-specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plans of action, and permits to work.
- Manage project safety statements and indicators effectively.
- Conduct regular site audits and inspections, documenting reports and corrective/preventive actions.
- Provide advice and guidance on EHS matters to management, safety representatives, and employees.
- Ensure availability of documentation for statutory inspections related to project activities.
- Develop and deliver Toolbox talks as necessary.
- Assist with accident investigations and ensure timely communication with project management.
- Liaise with project management on environmental, health, and safety issues.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant third-level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
- A minimum of 3 years of site experience.
- Thorough understanding of current environmental, health, and safety legislation.
- Flexibility in working patterns as necessary.
- Strong communication and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently while possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
