About the Role
This position is integral to the management of major tournaments, focusing on a broad range of responsibilities to ensure successful execution. Being based in Lausanne, you will report directly to the CEO and will play a pivotal role in overseeing competitions such as the Challenge Cup and Investec Champions Cup, with future involvement in women’s Champions Cup and World Club Cup.
Key Responsibilities
- Tournament Management:
- Oversee draw processes and fixture scheduling.
- Manage travel logistics for South Africa.
- Ensure operational and commercial delivery aligns with standards.
- Handle logistics, signage, and branding, both static and LED.
- Facilitate trophy management and venue selection for semi-finals and finals.
- Support ticketing and mobility management for event venues.
- Assist with venue security and crisis management.
- Provide broadcast support and review press releases related to tournaments.
- Budgets & Finance:
- Manage an extensive E&O budget along with semi-finals and finals match accounts.
- Oversee travel and COS budgets for commercial delivery.
- Handle supplier contract management and financial approvals.
- Team Leadership:
- Directly oversee heads of events and operations, match day commissioners, and commercial delivery leads.
Work Schedule
This role requires commitment to key weekends throughout the year, amounting to approximately eight weekends of Friday to Sunday work, with potential additional weekends to attend competitions. There is also flexibility for remote work one day per week and extra off days for weekend duties.

Additional Qualifications
- Proficiency in English, with knowledge of Irish, French, Scottish, Welsh, or Italian being advantageous.
- Experience in the club environment, particularly within England or the UK.
- Familiarity with international club tournament organization.
- Fluent French is a plus.
- Exhibits gravitas to engage with seasoned executives.
- Potential for growth into a COO role.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive base salary in CHF, along with a car allowance and a company bonus of 10%. Additional benefits include a company phone, computer, and credit card, as well as flexibility for remote work and extra off days to compensate for weekend responsibilities.

The anticipated start for this role is as soon as possible, in preparation for the upcoming season.
