Your Role
Join our Turbine Development department in Baden, Switzerland, where your expertise will contribute to the ongoing enhancement of our products within the gas turbine business.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and construct designs for gas turbine blade, vane, and heat shield components while considering manufacturing, lifetime, performance, assembly, and cost targets.
- Collaborate closely with other turbine teams, including Aerodynamics, Cooling, Mechanical Integrity, Manufacturing, and Reconditioning.
- Issue and review manufacturing specifications and technical reports.
- Prepare design review materials, document lessons learned, and integrate feedback from manufacturing and field experiences into designs.
- Support the development of manufacturing processes by providing constructive feedback during their initiation and addressing nonconformities in collaboration with Quality and Logistics.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in engineering or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in high-temperature component design using state-of-the-art techniques (e.g., 3D-CAD NX and Teamcenter).
- Solid knowledge of investment casting and machining processes.
- Understanding of mechanics and material physics.
- Fluency in English, with basic knowledge of German.
- Open-minded, analytical, and target-driven team player comfortable within a multicultural environment.
- Creative, meticulous, and independent, with strong negotiation abilities.
