Your Role

As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the development and operation of machine learning solutions and the ancillary services platform. Collaborating closely with business users and data scientists, you will contribute to robust and secure product development that meets essential security and regulatory requirements.

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models.
  • Integrate DevSecOps principles within the ML development lifecycle and platform operations.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks related to data security, model integrity, and platform reliability.
  • Define and implement preventive measures against cybersecurity threats.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Participate in 24/7 second-level support for the ancillary services platform.

Who You Are

We seek a communicative, team-oriented, and analytical individual who thrives in complex, agile environments. You quickly grasp new concepts and are motivated to explore emerging topics. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for quality, you possess:

  • A Master’s or PhD in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) and DevSecOps practices.
  • Solid foundation in software engineering, data engineering, and Machine Learning/MLOps with hands-on production deployment experience.
  • Knowledge of security aspects specific to ML systems, including data security, model integrity, and privacy-preserving techniques.
  • Certification such as CISSP, CISM, or similar is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in German is a plus.

Our Business Unit

The business unit Market is Swissgrid's operational hub, where our experienced specialists are responsible for transmission system operation and the markets for ancillary services. They also manage congestion at the Swiss borders and actively shape the development of the electricity market in Switzerland and Europe. Within the Swissgrid control center, various teams monitor and control the electricity flows 24/7.

Our Operational Decision Support team is responsible for developing and operating applications for operational decision support, in close cooperation with internal IT.
