The Opportunity

The EY Business Consulting team delivers a wide array of functional and cross-border services tailored to provide trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry, covering Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM), and Insurance sectors. As the Financial Services landscape evolves, this is an ideal time to join a dynamic team that is helping clients navigate new market challenges.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Pursue innovative, business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives within the Financial Services sector.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, and multidisciplinary teams to design solutions and achieve measurable improvements.
  • Present recommendations to clients clearly and analytically, utilizing storytelling skills.
  • Leverage our global EY methodologies, frameworks, and tools for a variety of transformation goals.
  • Enhance your skills through hands-on client experience and internal learning opportunities.
  • Facilitate discussions and thought leadership sessions both internally and externally.
  • Support go-to-market and business development efforts to provide valuable solutions to clients.

Skills and Attributes for Success

  • Strong academic background from a recognized university or university of applied sciences.
  • Motivation to thrive in a vibrant consulting environment, particularly within the financial services sector.
  • Experience in team projects, whether from university or internships.
  • A curious mindset capable of structuring problems systematically.
  • Excellent presentation skills and a client-focused attitude.
  • A cooperative team player, ready to support solutions across diverse functions and regions.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential; proficiency in Swiss German and other languages is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some work experience in consulting or Financial Services, such as internships or entry-level roles.
  • Interest in Target Operating Model (TOM) design and process improvement.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Design Thinking methodologies is beneficial.
  • Interest in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles is advantageous.
