Your Role

In this pivotal position, you will oversee commercial strategy and marketing execution across a diverse set of regions, including Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. Your leadership will drive business growth and manage a rapidly expanding cardiometabolic portfolio, shaping the accessibility of life-changing treatments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial strategy and marketing execution to meet ambitious sales targets and enhance market presence across varied emerging markets.
  • Drive successful product launches for the cardiometabolic franchise, including upcoming assets like WegovyPill®, Cagrisema, and Awiqly.
  • Define and implement loss of exclusivity (LoE) strategies for injectable semaglutide, ensuring smooth transitions across all markets.
  • Prioritize the portfolio to seize high-value opportunities, balancing new product launches with lifecycle management initiatives.
  • Lead consumerization efforts in the obesity and weight management sectors by introducing innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and guide cross-functional teams to promote innovation and agile ways of working.
  • Develop and manage budgets, set operational targets, and monitor performance metrics for alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent the region in external engagements with vendors and partners for congress planning and strategic collaboration.

Skills & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in sales or business management, ideally with multi-country or regional scope within emerging markets.
  • A proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and achieving measurable business growth.
  • A professional degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Strong leadership experience, managing diverse teams across various geographies and cultures.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the nuances in emerging markets and consumer marketing.
  • A strategic mindset with business acumen in budgeting, resource allocation, and financial target setting.
  • Exemplary stakeholder engagement capabilities, building robust relationships across healthcare systems and internal partners.
  • Change management expertise to lead organizational transformation and implement scalable solutions.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex strategies across all organizational levels.
