Role Overview
In this position, you will serve as a vital connection between business operations and IT, significantly influencing how data is utilized across our Global Operations. You will oversee the complete analytics lifecycle, beginning with comprehending business challenges, validating data, and delivering user-friendly Power BI solutions.
Collaboration is key, as you will engage with stakeholders throughout the value chain, including procurement, logistics, customer service, and operational leadership. Your contributions will enhance daily operations and strategic decision-making while fostering a robust, data-driven culture at Bavarian Nordic. This role marries Power BI proficiency with effective business partnership, encouraging thoughtful dialogue and ensuring comprehensive documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders to enhance request intake quality through user stories, translating business challenges into analytical requirements.
- Lead the development of Power BI datasets, dashboards, and applications from initiation to completion.
- Support data analytics governance practices by establishing and training a super-user network, ensuring consistency across Global Operations.
- Define data requirements with IT and data engineering teams to guarantee data integrity and compliance in a GxP environment.
- Assist in prioritizing analytical requests based on business significance and decision clarity.
- Maintain the reporting landscape for your assigned areas, promoting user engagement and building a data-centric culture.
- Enhance data culture through collaboration with BI colleagues and support standardized reporting processes.
Team Environment
Joining our Global Digital Transformation team, you will collaborate closely with four colleagues and be part of our larger Global Supply Chain organization, comprised of over 100 skilled professionals. Your work will play a pivotal role in the evolution of reporting across our value chain.
This role reports directly to the BI Analyst Lead and offers flexible working arrangements, allowing for up to two days of remote work weekly. A valid work permit for Denmark or Switzerland is necessary, and an initial strong on-site presence is expected to foster relationships with both business and IT teams.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience with Power BI, marrying technical skills with a strong business acumen. You are structured, curious, and assertive, capable of challenging assumptions constructively. You excel in dynamic environments and are committed to continuous improvement.

- Extensive Power BI experience in critical or regulated environments.
- Strong skills in data modeling, DAX, and report design.
- Experience in validating data quality and understanding data lineage.
- Confidence in engaging directly with senior stakeholders to translate needs into analytical solutions.
- A structured, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English; Danish or German language skills are a plus.
