Azure Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and motivated professional to support a high-impact cloud transformation project for a leading telecommunications and IT services provider in Switzerland. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a modern, innovation-driven environment and contribute directly to the design and implementation of a cloud-native Azure landscape for a major new client in the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and configure a new Azure Cloud environment for an enterprise customer.
• Define, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions.
• Participate actively in the onboarding of a new client within a cloud migration project.
• Take over selected operational tasks within the Azure environment.
• Support the execution of Swisscom’s Azure cloud strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile and innovative setting.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a degree in Computer Science (EFZ/FH/HF) or have equivalent hands-on experience. Microsoft Azure Associate-level certifications are required.

Essential Skills

• Experience with cloud-native platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
• Strong knowledge of Azure, Terraform, Linux, Bash, and container environments.
• Fluency in German (C1) and proficiency in English (B1), both spoken and written.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Terragrunt and network technologies (e.g., IP subnetting).
• Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
• An independent and team-oriented mindset with a structured approach to problem-solving.
