Join Our Team at the Experimental Animal Center
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at the Experimental Animal Center (EAC) as soon as possible, with an initial contract period of one year and the possibility of extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional animal care and monitor and record animal health.
- Breeding of genetically modified experimental animals.
- Maintain hygiene standards within the facility.
- Input and manage animal data within the computer system.
- Conduct specific services, such as taking skin biopsies for genotyping.
- Ensure cleaning of materials, equipment, and rooms according to hygiene regulations.
- Assist in the operational maintenance of equipment and in goods receipt and storage.
- Participate in animal care duties on a rotational basis during weekends and holidays.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed professional training in animal care or a comparable agricultural field.
- A strong sense of responsibility towards entrusted animals.
- Dependability, quick comprehension, and a resilient, precise, and efficient working approach.
- A communicative, flexible, and team-oriented working style is essential.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Word and MS Excel).
- Good knowledge of German; English skills at A2 level are advantageous.
