AI Architect, Microsoft Foundry

Join a global enterprise client as an AI Architect for a 6-month contract with possible extension. This fully remote role focuses on designing and governing enterprise AI solutions on Microsoft Foundry (Azure AI Foundry), covering agents, copilots, and RAG applications, including hybrid patterns with Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture standards and reusable reference patterns for Foundry-based AI solutions
• Design agents, copilots, and RAG applications, and integrate them securely with SharePoint, SAP, ServiceNow, Databricks, and Power BI
• Set guardrails for prompt engineering, grounding, human approvals, and auditability
• Lead technical design reviews and prepare architecture review board documentation
• Guide model selection and optimize token, search, and endpoint costs
• Define operational runbooks, monitoring, and release criteria

Qualifications

• 10 to 12 years in IT across enterprise, cloud, or data architecture, AI/ML engineering, or integration
• 4+ years of Azure architecture and 2+ years of GenAI, LLM, RAG, or agentic AI
• Hands-on or strong knowledge of Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, and Azure ML
• Secure integration experience (APIM, Entra ID, OAuth, managed identity)
• Knowledge of AI governance, responsible AI, and security controls (RBAC, Purview, audit logging)
• Databricks, Unity Catalog, and vector search experience is a strong plus
