About the Company
ANAVIA specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) systems weighing up to 500 kilograms. The company provides industry-leading unmanned helicopter systems tailored for various mission profiles, including Surveillance & Reconnaissance, Inspection, Mapping, and Cargo.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct aerodynamic analyses of unmanned helicopter designs utilizing computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and wind tunnel testing to evaluate performance under different flight conditions.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop and refine helicopter designs that enhance aerodynamic efficiency, stability, and control.
- Evaluate flight performance metrics, including lift, drag, and maneuverability, and make design improvement recommendations based on analytical results.
- Create and maintain aerodynamic models for simulation and analysis, ensuring fidelity to the helicopter's performance characteristics.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation on aerodynamic analyses, featuring findings, recommendations, and technical specifications for both internal and regulatory review.
- Engage with multi-disciplinary teams, including structural engineers, control engineers, and system designers, to ensure the integrated performance of unmanned helicopter systems.
- Remain informed about advancements in aerodynamics and related technologies, integrating best practices and innovative strategies into design processes.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
- Proven experience in aerodynamic analysis and design, preferably within the aerospace sector.
- Strong grasp of aerodynamics principles, fluid dynamics, and flight mechanics. Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM) and other simulation tools.
- Excellent communication skills, high interpersonal abilities, solid analytical capabilities, and strong technical understanding.
