Opportunity Overview
The Health Ethics and Policy Lab is at the forefront of addressing ethical and policy challenges in precision medicine and digital health. Comprising a small, interdisciplinary team, we integrate expertise from bioethics, philosophy, social science, medicine, public health, data science, policy, and law. Role Overview
We seek a proactive, solution-oriented, and reliable professional to bolster our team's administrative and organizational capacities. This crucial support enables our group to maintain excellence in research, teaching, and service. Responsibilities will include:
- Human resource functions
- Accounting and finance management including expenses, invoices, and budget oversight
- Financial administration of research projects
Candidate Profile
The ideal individual will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Several years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a university setting
- Strong sense of responsibility, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, systematically, and accurately
- Enjoyment in engaging with diverse stakeholders, prioritizing their needs in all tasks
- Strong planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Education or training in finance, or relevant practical experience
- Desire for continual learning and proficiency in new tools
- Fluency in both German (B2) and English (C1), with solid writing and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and other essential computer applications
- Experience in event management and communication, along with familiarity around technical applications and web content management systems
- Trustworthiness and reliability, contributing positively to the team’s mission
