Position Overview
This role focuses on the seamless operation of daily accounting processes, offering direct support to the Head of Accounting through operational and analytical contributions.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations.
- Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure precise and timely statutory and tax reporting.
- Prepare VAT returns and engage with the Federal Tax Administration.
- Actively participate in the annual financial closing process.
- Compile periodic financial reports and assist in the budgeting process and its oversight.
- Support Group and Department Directors with budget-related inquiries.
- Provide backup assistance for monthly payroll processing.
- Engage in cross-functional projects.
- Lead initiatives aimed at process improvements and automation.
Qualifications and Experience
A Bachelor's degree, combined with seven years of relevant professional experience or equivalent qualifications, is essential. A Federal Diploma in Accounting is considered an advantage.
Required Skills
- Thorough understanding of financial accounting principles.
- Experience in year-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with analytical accounting.
- Knowledge in payroll processing and withholding tax.
- Proficiency in office software tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
